Huang Ziqian

Huang is an interdisciplinary artist. She is interested in cities, animals, and the relationship between humans and animals. Her recent work focuses on art game design that explores the relationship between humans and animals. The themes cover the impact of urbanisation and road reconstruction on the living spaces of animals. She uses games to lighten the heaviness of the theme and gives it  deep meaning. Ziqian aims to stimulate human thinking through art, exploring the concept of "coexistence" with animals in an urbanised environment, and bringing viewers a new and educational experience.

Roadkill is an interactive game. The installation creates a separate space that uses anthropometric technology to simulate driving at night. In the game, the viewer's character is a driver, and they need to complete a maze to reach the end. Fluorescent lines on the road and a variety of sounds will give them instructions.

The installation invites viewers to an immersive road game experience. In the dark, human vision is blocked, so the auditory senses are amplified. What are we doing? What kind of sounds do we hear? And what do these sounds mean?

The artist created a playful process of "O. Henry's Ending," which is both unexpected and reasonable, to stimulate the audience to reflect on animal life and human morality.
